Selection of Hosts / Family:
We know that many people may be apprehensive
about living in the
home of a “complete stranger.”
To put your mind at ease…
Hosts & families are very carefully selected;
all homes are carefully inspected.
All hosts are well educated.
We do not work with people who “rent rooms”
or those who ask to be “put on a list.”
These are not home exchange programs.
In order for these type of programs to work well,
a number of people are involved in the planning of the stay.
Each region has a Local and/or Regional Organizer who visits potential hosts,
evaluates the home and who is the one
who matches the participant with the appropriate host.
The Organizer is always available to solve problems
when the participant is in the program.
Private Bathrooms are available. Sometimes there is an additional cost;
it depends on the country, region and the dates of the homestay.
Seniors: For those with Health Concerns, this type of program is an excellent solution. Since you will be in one place, you can identify in advance, doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, etc. “just in case.” You can also be just as active or passive as you want to be. You can go sightseeing, climb mountains, go hiking…. or just visit museums and people watch. It is your program; you do what you want.
For couples and friends who want to travel together, but have different interests: You can participate in this program… be together, but go your separate ways. You can each have separate activities every day or some days… and still be together for meals or other activities. Great for people travelling with people who love to play golf and they do not. Or those who love to spend the day at the beach, and the other person does not. Or those who love museums…. you get the idea.
If you are not happy with the homestay, it will be changed.
